Connect providers

Connect OpenAI

Admin key for costs and key management; optional inference key for proxy mode.

What Fuselee needs

  • An Admin API key (Organization settings → API keys → Admin keys). Used for the Costs and Usage APIs and, on a sever, to delete the registered project key and reissue a replacement through a service account.
  • Optionally an inference key (sk-proj-…) if you want proxy mode: Fuselee-issued gateway keys with an instant cutoff.

Steps

  1. Dashboard → Connect provider → OpenAI. Paste the admin key (and org id). Fuselee verifies it with a read-only call before storing it sealed.
  2. Register the keys you want to protect: Budgets → Connections → name, project (proj_…) and key id (key_…). Fuselee never asks for the key secret itself.
  3. Create a budget scoped to the provider, a project or one key. Dry-run is on by default: the first 100% trip only records what would have happened.

What sever does

Deletes the registered project key at OpenAI. Resume issues a replacement key through a service account and reveals it to you exactly once.
